ZEturf, operating under the ZEbet brand, has established itself as the second-largest online horserace betting operator in France, with a market share of around 20%. Recent acquisition by FDJ Group now positions them as a leader in sports betting, horserace betting, and poker, with a market share exceeding 10%.

To uphold their commitments to the French Competition Authority, FDJ Group plans to implement a new organisational structure.

Stéphane Pallez, Chairwoman and CEO of FDJ, views the acquisition of ZEturf as a milestone for La Française des Jeux, strengthening their position in the competitive French online gaming market.

FDJ has experienced a 5% revenue increase in Q1 2023, reaching €662m. Their partnership with International Game Technology and acquisition of Premier Lotteries Ireland have expanded their reach beyond France.

In addition, Betsson, in collaboration with Sportradar, has entered the French market in 2023. The regulated gambling market in France has seen a 4% growth in the first half of 2023, with total gross gaming revenue reaching €5.35bn.
