Deutscher Sport-Club Arminia Bielefeld (DSC), a 2. Bundesliga soccer club, recently hosted a sponsored poker event in collaboration with their official gambling partner, the Gauselmann Group. The event, known as the DSC Casino Night, took place at the Merkur Casino Bad Oeynhausen and saw a turnout of over 90 participants, including former and current DSC players.

Initially starting with eight tables, participants who were eliminated early were treated to a tour of the casino, exploring popular games like roulette and blackjack. David Schnabel, the Managing Director of Merkur Spielbanken, expressed his delight in hosting the event, emphasizing the strong partnership between the casino and Arminia.

The highlight of the night was the crowning of the winner, Mike Ibsch from BKK Gildemeister Seidensticker, a statutory health insurance fund. Ibsch received a generous prize of €1,905 ($2,019), symbolizing the year in which Arminia was founded. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Horizontas, an Erwitt association that provides grief counseling to children, young people, and their families.

Rainer Schütte, the President of DSC Arminia Bielefeld, expressed his gratitude to the Gauselmann Group for their longstanding partnership and considered the DSC Casino Night a resounding success in terms of its organization and ambiance.

In other news, Merkur recently announced a partnership with Gaming Arts, which grants them access to the North American markets.
