Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has landed in Serbia with the launch of Rizk, the popular casino brand owned by Betsson. As a leading iGaming technology company, GiG offers a range of products, services, and solutions to operators worldwide.

Marcel Elfersy, GiG CCO, expressed excitement about the partnership with Betsson, stating that Serbia and the wider CEE region are key areas of growth for the company. GiG has developed a versatile platform and sportsbook solutions that surpass the expectations of leading operators.

This development is particularly noteworthy as Rizk was previously under GiG, along with other B2C brands like Guts, Kaboo, and Thrills. However, Betsson acquired these brands from GiG in 2020 for €33.0m ($35.9m). Betsson had announced plans to launch Rizk in Spain and Croatia first.

In addition to the B2C brands, Betsson also acquired GiG subsidiary Zecure Gaming. The company will leverage the acquired assets, technology, and licenses to support the successful launch of the newly acquired brands.

Andrew Valenzia, Betsson Zecure Gaming Commercial Director, expressed optimism about Rizk’s prospects in the Serbian market and thanked the teams involved for their dedicated work.

GiG recently reported a significant 40% increase in revenue for Q2 2023, further highlighting its success in the industry.
