The Q3 2023 report from the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) reveals 50 suspicious betting alerts across their global businesses, representing over 125 sports betting brands. These alerts were identified in eight different sports, spanning 21 countries. Europe had the highest number of alerts with 30.

Tennis had the most alerts in Q3 2023, showing a 7% increase compared to Q2 2023. Football, on the other hand, had 13 alerts, which is a 32% decrease from the previous quarter.However, the 50 alerts in Q3 2023 show a significant decrease of 41% compared to the same period in 2022, which had 85 alerts.

Khalid Ali, the CEO of IBIA, highlighted the progress made in reducing overall alerts:

“We have seen a consistent decrease in alerts during the first three quarters, with tennis playing a major role in this. We recently co-hosted a best practice integrity seminar in New York with the International Tennis Integrity Agency and top sports and betting operators in the US. This collaboration demonstrates our strong partnership with tennis and our shared commitment to combat corruption in the sport.”
