Fanatics Betting and Gaming makes its debut in US states
Fanatics Betting and Gaming has announced its expansion into several states, including Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. These new operations come as a result of the company’s acquisition of PointsBet USA’s operating businesses.
However, PointsBet USA will remain active in Indiana and Illinois until Fanatics Betting and Gaming concludes its operations there later this year.
Matt King, CEO of Fanatics Betting and Gaming, emphasized the company’s focus on the customer and its plans for efficient customer acquisition. By doing so, the company aims to invest in the customer experience at Fanatics Sportsbook and PointsBet, a Fanatics Experience, ultimately providing savings to its customers.
This acquisition is part of Fanatics Betting and Gaming’s ongoing growth and diversification strategy. The company will now have access to PointsBet’s online casino platform, which currently operates in four states. This platform will enable Fanatics Betting and Gaming to expand its online casino offerings, set to launch later this year in the United States.
Additionally, Fanatics Betting and Gaming plans to integrate Banach Technology’s risk management platform and quantitative trading models into the Fanatics Sportsbook app in Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Tennessee.
While Fanatics Betting and Gaming moves forward with its expansion, PointsBet USA will continue to operate in states such as Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, New York, and Ohio until the closure of operations in each respective state.
