Elon Musk is set to boost the current conversational AI industry, with a new competitor.

As competition in the field of AI heats up, Elon Musk is looking to enter the race. According to Financial Times sources, he’s recruiting a team of researchers and engineers and speaking with investors about launching his own artificial intelligence company which could go head-to-head with OpenAI – creators of ChatGPT. In Silicon Valley’s highly competitive climate, industry giants such as Google, Microsoft and Amazon are all vying for their share in this rapidly expanding technology sector.

Tesla Founder Elon Musk has found himself in an ironic predicament after announcing the launch of a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) company. His venture appears to be at odds with his previous stance towards AI, as just weeks ago he signed onto a letter demanding that work on AI research should temporarily cease. The fact is further compounded by past comments concerning OpenAI – another company founded by him which experienced disputes leading up to his departure from it’s board in 2019. It seems this latest development could find Mr Musk involved in competition for talent and technologies between two of his own companies!
