Scientific Games solidifies partnership with Ohio Lottery
Scientific Games and the Ohio Lottery have extended their partnership for another two years, specifically focusing on the management of Scratch-Off Games and the use of SCiQ retail point-of-sale technology.
The partnership, which began in 2019, includes a range of services such as portfolio management, game design, data analytics, logistics, and retail sales and marketing.
The SCiQ technology is now being used in over 800 convenience stores in Ohio, allowing popular brands like Circle K and Speedway to sell Ohio Lottery products in-store.
This technology enables real-time delivery of retail sales figures and data to the relevant companies.
John Schulz, Scientific Games President of Americas and Global Instant Products, expressed gratitude to the Ohio Lottery for partnering with them to optimize the product portfolio and generate maximum revenues for education.
He also highlighted that Ohio was one of the first lotteries to implement the SCiQ ecosystem, a breakthrough technology that helps retailers effectively manage the lottery category in-store.
Since implementing the Scientific Games Enhanced Partnership, Ohio Lottery sales have grown from $1.6 billion in 2019 to $2.3 billion in 2023.
Furthermore, the Ohio Lottery has reported an impressive compound annual growth rate of 8.8% in its weekly capita sales between 2019 and 2023, compared to the average rate of 5% for the top 10 US lotteries over the same period.
Scientific Games has also been selected to power the New Zealand National Lottery as part of its global lottery strategy.
