Playtech, a leading provider of online gambling software, has announced the establishment of a dedicated live casino studio in Riga, Latvia. This state-of-the-art studio is specifically designed to cater to the Canadian market and the audience of FanDuel, a prominent online sportsbook and casino.

Playtech’s new studio will feature popular games like Adventures Beyond Wonderland and Big Bad Wolf, offering an immersive and thrilling experience for FanDuel users in Ontario and beyond.

George Voyatzis, VP of Commercial for Playtech, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to collaborate with FanDuel and bring our Live Casino games to their loyal customers in Ontario.”

Dale Hooper, General Manager for FanDuel Canada, also expressed his pride in the partnership, highlighting the customized nature of the FanDuel Live Casino studio, tailored to meet the unique demands of the Canadian market.

The partnership with FanDuel comes on the heels of Playtech’s impressive financial performance, with record revenue of €859.6m ($908.8m) in the first half of 2023. While the company reported a decline in post-tax profits due to investments in Hard Rock Digital, their growth in both B2B and B2C divisions is evident.

In October 2023, FanDuel launched an exciting initiative in collaboration with the NBA. Fans now have the opportunity to enjoy three months of access to the NBA League Pass, coinciding with the launch of ‘The Pulse.’ This innovative feature allows real-time betting on NBA games, further enhancing the FanDuel experience.
