Southampton Football Club is once again taking a stand for Safer Gambling Week, joining forces with Better Change and RecoverMe to promote responsible gambling. For the second year, Better Change will set up a pop-up hub for fans at St Mary’s Stadium during their Championship match against Cardiff on December 2nd.

    The goal is to engage fans in important conversations about safer gambling practices.

    During Safer Gambling Week, Southampton will release a video featuring insights from Malcolm Frame, the Head of Performance Psychology, providing valuable advice and guidance to fans on responsible gambling.

    Charlie Boss, Chief Commercial Officer at Southampton FC, emphasized the club’s commitment to protecting fans and the community through promoting safer gambling. He expressed gratitude to partners like Better Change for their support in championing a safer future for fans and the gambling industry.

    David Richardson, Head of Strategic Partnerships at Better Change, praised Southampton Football Club for proactively making an impact with their socially responsible activities. He stressed the importance of breaking down the stigma around gambling and offering support to those who may need it while promoting positive play.

    In a similar vein, Blackpool Football Club, in collaboration with LeoVegas, will also show their support for Safer Gambling Week by displaying key messaging and logos related to the event on their shirts during their match against Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.
